Saudi Aramco has been offering spot oil cargoes to European buyers for both this month and the next, according to a person familiar with the matter, a sign the company is looking to make up for supplies lost when a crucial export pipeline was shut.

The firm earlier this month offered shipments for late-October loading, and followed it up last week with additional supply that can be picked up in November, the person said, asking not to be identified discussing private matters. The October-loading cargoes were offered at a discount to Aramco’s official selling price, and was for lifting from either the Mediterranean port of Sidi Kerir or from Yanbu on the Saudi Red Sea coast, the person said. Aramco didn’t immediately respond to a request for comment.
