Yemen’s Aden International Airport resumed normal operations Thursday, a day after activity was temporarily suspended following a strike that Yemeni authorities said was carried out by the Houthi group.
据交通部媒体办公室的一份声明，交通部长穆赫辛·海达拉·奥马里在视察机场监督运营时宣布了复航消息。
Transport Minister Mohsen Haidara Al-Omari announced the resumption during a visit to the airport to oversee operations, according to a statement by the Transport Ministry’s media office.
奥马里表示：“机场活动于周四上午恢复正常，此前因伊朗支持的胡塞民兵周三实施的炮击导致暂时停运。”
“Airport activity returned to normal Thursday morning following the temporary suspension caused by the shelling carried out by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia on Wednesday,” Al-Omari said.
他补充道：“尽管存在风险，技术团队在袭击发生后不久便开始对受损跑道进行紧急维修和养护工作。”
“Technical teams began urgent repair and maintenance work on the targeted runway shortly after the attack despite the risks involved,” he said.
他批评持续针对亚丁国际机场的袭击，称其为服务来自也门各地乘客的民用设施。
He criticized the continued targeting of Aden International Airport, describing it as a civilian facility serving passengers from across Yemen.
周三，也门当局称两名平民受伤，机场受损，此前该机场遭到两枚据称由胡塞武装发射的弹道导弹袭击，导致机场运营暂停。
On Wednesday, Yemeni authorities said two civilians were injured and the airport suffered damage after it was targeted by two ballistic missiles they said were launched by the Houthis, prompting the suspension of airport operations.

The development comes amid a wider military escalation in Yemen that began in July, described as the most significant since the period of relative calm that followed a truce announced in April 2022.
