President Trump is slated to speak at telerallies across the country Saturday, marking his last scheduled campaign appearance in several key battlegrounds before Election Day next week. Trump is set to appear in virtual events in at least 19 states — Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Colorado, Florida, Iowa, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Montana, Nebraska, Nevada, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Texas and Virginia.
The rallies will run at 4 p.m., 4:30 p.m. and 5 p.m. EDT. The Republican National Committee first announced these telerallies Thursday after Trump canceled two in-person appearances in Kansas and Iowa — a move he walked back the next day. The president said during a Friday night rally in Daytona Beach, Fla., individuals from the two states called him and said, "We just want to make sure that we win." "I thought this was it.
I thought I could relax. 28 days in a row of this crap is a lot. It's a lot. My voice is about operating at about 49.2 percent," Trump said Friday. "And then they called me in Iowa, and they called me in Kansas, and they said, 'Sir, would it be possible to do a little rally of about 50,000 people each?'" Meanwhile, Group of 20 diplomats will convene in Atlanta for the second day of its annual Foreign Ministers' meeting. The gathering got heated on its first day, with its U.S. hosts deciding not to carry out the "family photo" tradition after several members refused to appear in a picture alongside a Russian official due to his country's war in Ukraine.
