The announcements were made following a meeting of Quad foreign ministers on the sidelines of the G20 Foreign Ministers' Meeting in Atlanta.US Secretary of State Marco Rubio, External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar, Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi and Australian Foreign Minister Penny Wong attended the key meet. According to a joint statement issued after the meeting, the four countries intend to channel the AI assistance through initiatives including the Quad AI Accelerator.

The ministers also announced the launch of the first Quad Business Leaders' Forum, aimed at bringing governments and private-sector stakeholders closer to facilitate commercial partnerships and investment opportunities in strategic sectors. As part of efforts to deepen economic engagement, the Quad's export credit agencies are scheduled to meet in Tokyo on November 18 to explore areas for practical cooperation and identify potential opportunities.
