A drone strike hit a power station in northern Sudan early Sunday, sparking a fire and triggering loud explosions, witnesses told Anadolu.

The attack targeted the Abu Hamad power station in River Nile state, about 334 miles (538 kilometers) north of the capital, Khartoum, according to witnesses.
