An illegal immigrant is facing a slew of charges after investigators say he stabbed a young victim and tried to kidnap her from a home in Baltimore, Maryland. It happened just three years after he was let into the country during the Biden administration.

The Baltimore Police Department says Abubakarr Barrie, 23, is accused of stabbing a 15-year-old girl inside a home. Multiple reports say he worked as an unlicensed cab driver.

The Department of Homeland Security says Barrie picked the victim up and took her "to a basement property that he was renting at the time." Inside the basement, he allegedly stabbed the girl over and over again until she was able to escape and run away. It happened on Oct. 22; he was arrested two days later. ICE lodged a detainer for Barrie the same day he was arrested.
