Alaskans are voting to choose their next chief executive, with incumbent Gov. Mike Dunleavy (R) term-limited and prevented from seeking another term. The state's ranked-choice voting system means that Alaskans will see four candidates on the ballot, including three Republicans and one Democrat. The Republican candidates are former Anchorage Mayor Dave Bronson, former state Attorney General Treg Taylor and businesswoman Bernadette Wilson. The lone Democrat in the race is former state Rep. Jonathan Kreiss-Tomkins.

Kreiss-Tomkins was the top vote-getter in the primary with nearly 23 percent, followed by another Democrat, former state Sen. Tom Begich, who withdrew following the primary, with almost 21 percent of the vote. Wilson was next with 10 percent, followed by Bronson with 8 percent and Taylor with 7 percent.
