As they decide on their oversight strategy for their new majorities, Democrats are still actively discussing how much to target individual corporations. That has meant throwing cold water on a dossier circulated by progressive think tank Groundwork Collaborative that recommends an aggressive approach against multiple industry executives, including demanding restitution.

Others have called out prediction markets and cryptocurrency, too. The hope is that going after corporations can attract swing voters and even Republicans concerned about the cost of living, after it proved a winning strategy for Democratic candidates in red states.
