Some 2,800 people fled 10 villages in Sudan’s southeastern Blue Nile State in a single day amid deteriorating security, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said Sunday.
该联合国机构在声明中表示，其外勤团队估计，瓦德马希（Wad al-Mahi）地区的560户家庭（共2800人）已从多个村庄流离失所，并迁往青尼罗州内的阿尔罗塞雷斯（Al-Roseires）地区。
In a statement, the UN agency said its field teams estimated that 560 households, comprising 2,800 people, had been displaced from several villages in Wad al-Mahi locality and moved to Al-Roseires locality within Blue Nile State.
受影响的村庄包括米里（Miri）、贾巴尔尼姆尔（Jabal Nimr）、阿布库达夫（Abu Qudaf）、巴什卡卡特（Bashkarkat）、阿布詹库尔（Ab Jankour）、马克拉（Makla）、马坦吉亚（Matangiya）、贾巴尔努尔（Jabal al-Nour）、门扎（Menza）和曼希林（Manshiling）。该机构称，局势依然“紧张且动荡”，并正在密切关注事态发展。
The affected villages were Miri, Jabal Nimr, Abu Qudaf, Bashkarkat, Ab Jankour, Makla, Matangiya, Jabal al-Nour, Menza and Manshiling, it said. The situation remains “tense and volatile,” the agency said, adding that it was closely monitoring developments.

On Thursday, IOM reported that another 7,000 people, comprising 1,400 households, had fled four villages in Wad al-Mahi in a single day because of insecurity.

Last month, the UN agency said that 99,277 people had been displaced in Blue Nile state between Jan. 11 and Aug. 23 this year.
