The World Health Organization (WHO) advised Tuesday against imposing restrictions on travel to or trade with Kenya, the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) and Uganda following the reported death of an Ebola patient in Kenya.
总干事谭德塞在美国社交媒体平台X上表示，肯尼亚报告了一例由邦迪布焦病毒引起的输入性埃博拉病例，患者为一名曾在刚果民主共和国居住的肯尼亚公民。
Director General Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus said on US social media platform X that Kenya reported an imported case of Ebola caused by the Bundibugyo virus in a Kenyan citizen who had been living in the DRC.
该患者在刚果民主共和国发病，并在多家医院接受治疗后，经乌干达坎帕拉从刚果民主共和国前往内罗毕。谭德塞说，他于周一在内罗毕死亡。
The patient became ill in the DRC and received treatment at several hospitals before traveling from the DRC to Nairobi via Kampala, Uganda. He died Monday in Nairobi, said Tedros.
据谭德塞称，世卫组织正在协助肯尼亚、刚果民主共和国和乌干达政府进行接触者追踪、监测、筛查和其他应对措施，旨在识别潜在病例并防止病毒进一步传播。
The WHO is supporting the governments of Kenya, the DRC and Uganda with contact tracing, surveillance, screening and other response measures aimed at identifying potential cases and preventing further spread of the virus, according to Tedros.
