Qatar said Tuesday that Washington and Tehran are exchanging messages as mediation efforts and diplomatic contacts continue in an attempt to achieve progress amid months of stalled negotiations about ending the war.
卡塔尔外交部媒体与传播司司长易卜拉欣·哈希米在新闻发布会上回应有关伊朗内政部长伊斯坎达尔·莫梅尼访问多哈的提问时作出了上述表态。
Ibrahim al-Hashimi, director of media and communications at the Foreign Ministry, made the remarks at a news conference in response to a question about Iranian Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni’s visit to Doha.
哈希米称：“双方仍在保持接触与互访，旨在促成华盛顿与德黑兰之间可进一步发展的进展。”
“Contacts and visits are continuing with the aim of reaching progress that can be built upon between Washington and Tehran,” al-Hashimi said.
他强调，双方的调解努力“仍在持续，从未中断”。根据外交部发布的声明，这些努力旨在取得“可在此基础上继续推进的成果，并涵盖双方关心的所有议题”。
He stressed that mediation efforts between the two sides “are continuing and have not stopped.”The efforts are aimed at achieving progress “that can be built upon and that includes all issues of concern to both parties,” according to a Foreign Ministry statement.
哈希米还表示：“谈判仍在进行，华盛顿与德黑兰之间也在互通信息，卡塔尔则担任双方的调解方。”
“Talks are continuing, there is an exchange of messages between Washington and Tehran, and Qatar is a mediator between the parties,” said al-Hashimi.
他补充道，要达成解决方案，就需要各方付出“最大努力”，通过谈判寻求兼顾各方关切的解决办法。
He added that a resolution requires the “best efforts” through negotiated solutions that take into consideration the concerns of all parties.
自2月下旬战争爆发以来，卡塔尔一直与巴基斯坦共同担任华盛顿与德黑兰之间的调解方。今年6月达成的初步协议未能制止战火。
Qatar, alongside Pakistan, has been mediating between Washington and Tehran to end the war that began in late February. An initial agreement in June failed to halt the fighting.
关于被击落的伊朗飞行员一事，哈希米称，卡塔尔“从一开始就明确表示该问题已得到处理”，且伊朗方面也已获悉最新进展。他还表示，多哈欢迎伊朗方面前来视察针对该事件所采取的措施。
Iranian pilots Asked about the case of Iranian pilots who were shot down, al-Hashimi said Qatar had “been clear from the beginning that this issue has been dealt with” and that Iran had been informed of the latest developments. He said Doha is open to a visit by Iran to review measures taken in the case.
伊朗官方通讯社IRNA周二报道称，内政部长伊斯坎达尔·莫梅尼正在多哈进行会谈。莫梅尼称，双方已就飞行员问题展开讨论，伊朗还将派出另一技术代表团继续处理此事。
Iran’s official IRNA news agency reported Tuesday that Interior Minister Eskandar Momeni is visiting Doha for talks. Momeni said discussions were held about the pilots and another technical delegation will be sent to continue work on the issue.
据伊朗伊斯兰通讯社报道，他表示，双方还讨论了地区局势发展，并称此次会谈“富有成效且具建设性”，为未来的合作带来了良好前景。
He said regional developments were also discussed and described the meeting as “productive and constructive,” saying it offered promising prospects for future cooperation, according to IRNA.
伊朗总参谋部于8月15日称，卡塔尔扣留了4名伊朗飞行员中的3人。这些飞行员原在两架与美以交战时坠毁的战机上，此后被扣押在卡塔尔长达6个月。多哈方面则否认了这一说法。
Iran’s General Staff said Aug. 15 that Qatar is holding three of four Iranian pilots who had been aboard two fighter jets that went down during the war with the US and Israel, and had been held in Qatar for six months. Doha denied the claim.
卡塔尔曾在3月2日宣称，击落了两架从伊朗方向飞来的伊朗苏-24战机。德黑兰方面则表示，其战机是在卡塔尔境内的美军基地遭到袭击时遭击落的。
Qatar said March 2 that it had shot down two Iranian Su-24 aircraft approaching from Iran. Tehran said its fighter jets had been targeted during attacks on a US base in Qatar.
据伊朗官方消息，伊朗后来称马吉德·卡泽米的遗体已被送回并安葬，其余3名飞行员的下落仍不明。
Iran later said the body of Majid Kazemi had been returned and buried, while the fate of the other three pilots remained unclear, according to Iranian officials.
关于地区局势发展，哈希米表示，卡塔尔支持本地区各国为维护自身安全、主权和领土完整所采取的举措，其中包括土耳其、沙特阿拉伯和巴基斯坦组成的“麦加防御联盟”。
Mecca Alliance On regional developments, al-Hashimi said Qatar supports initiatives taken by countries in the region to safeguard their security, sovereignty and territorial integrity, including the Mecca Defense Alliance between Türkiye, Saudi Arabia and Pakistan.
他指出，该联盟有助于加强地区合作，从而维护各国的实力与稳定。
He said the alliance strengthens regional cooperation aimed at preserving countries’ capabilities and stability.
哈希米称，卡塔尔支持一切有助于地区安全与稳定的倡议，不过“现在谈论卡塔尔加入‘麦加联盟’还为时过早”。他还重申，多哈支持沙特阿拉伯为维护自身安全与领土完整所采取的各项措施。
Qatar supports any initiative that contributes to regional security and stability, he said, adding that it is “too early to talk about Qatar joining the Mecca Alliance.”Al-Hashimi reiterated Doha’s support for Saudi Arabia in measures it takes to safeguard its security and territorial integrity.
“我们谴责胡塞武装以不负责任的方式袭击沙特王国、伊斯兰圣地及平民目标；我们支持沙特王国为维护自身安全与领土完整所采取的一切措施，”他说道。
“We condemn the irresponsible approach adopted by the Houthi group in targeting the Kingdom, Islamic holy sites and civilian objects, and we support the Kingdom in all measures it takes to preserve its security and territorial integrity,” he said.

He added that additional details regarding the Iranian minister’s visit will be announced by the Interior Ministry.
