(NewsNation) – President Trump will travel to Georgia on Friday to campaign for Republican Senate candidate Rep. Mike Collins, NewsNation has learned.
共和党全国委员会也证实，总统定于10月16日前往乔治亚州，在惠特菲尔德县的道尔顿市机场举行集会。
The Republican National Committee confirmed the president will travel to Georgia on Oct. 16 for a rally at the Dalton Municipal Airport in Whitfield County.
近期民调显示，柯林斯要想击败民主党籍参议员乔恩·奥索夫难度颇大。
This comes as recent polling shows Collins is fighting an uphill battle to unseat Democratic Sen. Jon Ossoff in Georgia.

Ossoff, the only Democratic incumbent running for a Senate seat in a state Trump won in 2024, debated Collins last week.

Both candidates used their allotted time to criticize each other’s family backgrounds and argue that their opponent was not fit to represent Georgia on Capitol Hill.

The president will also campaign for Republican gubernatorial nominee Rick Jackson, who is facing Democrat Keisha Lance Bottoms, the former mayor of Atlanta.
