Foreign ministers from the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member states gathered in the Iraqi capital Baghdad on Saturday for the group’s 52nd session, with regional crises, Palestine, and cooperation among member states high on the agenda.

Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Faleh al-Zaidi opened the meeting, according to the Iraqi News Agency (INA).

Welcoming delegates, al-Zaidi said the Islamic world faces growing challenges that test its ability to coexist and adapt to economic, cultural, and media transformations.
他说：“我们在地区和国际层面上看到的种种危机，要求我们采取更多联合行动，以保护我们人民的利益、服务我们国家的正义事业并确保我们子孙后代的未来。”
“What we are witnessing in terms of crises at the regional and international levels calls for greater joint action to protect the interests of our peoples, serve the causes of our nation and ensure the future of our generations,” he said.
在巴勒斯坦问题上，总理重申了伊拉克的立场，即巴勒斯坦问题仍然是该地区冲突的核心。
On Palestine, the prime minister reaffirmed Iraq’s position that the Palestinian issue remains at the core of the conflict in the region.

He said ensuring justice for the Palestinian people and guaranteeing their rights are essential to regional security and stability.

Al-Zaidi also called for freedom of trade, protection of trade routes, and the smooth flow of transportation through international corridors.
他宣布了一项伊拉克倡议，旨在促进伊斯兰合作组织国家之间的能源网、铁路网络、交通和数字通信一体化，同时发展数字支付系统和贸易平台，并加强工业区之间的融合。
He announced an Iraqi initiative aimed at integrating energy grids, railway networks, transportation and digital communications among OIC countries, as well as developing digital payment systems and trade platforms and strengthening integration between industrial zones.

The initiative aims to promote security, stability, and prosperity and strengthen the ability of member states to confront crises and challenges, he said.
扎伊迪还感谢巴基斯坦为缓和地区紧张局势所做出的努力，并敦促伊斯兰合作组织成员国加倍努力，以实现地区的和平与稳定。
Al-Zaidi also thanked Pakistan for its efforts to defuse regional tensions and urged OIC member states to step up efforts to achieve peace and stability in the region.
在会议期间，伊拉克从土耳其手中接任了伊斯兰合作组织轮值主席国。
Iraq took over the OIC’s rotating presidency from Türkiye during the meeting.
为期两天的会议以“对话与团结：促进和平与可持续发展的两大基调”为主题，正在讨论以色列对加沙的持续袭击以及伊斯兰世界其他危机地区的发展局势。
Held under the theme “Dialogue and Solidarity: Two Essential Pillars for Promoting Peace and Sustainable Development,” the two-day session is addressing Israel’s ongoing attacks in Gaza and developments in other crisis zones across the Islamic world.
