Russia’s Foreign Ministry on Saturday strongly condemned an attack near a church in Jordan’s southern Karak governorate that killed at least nine people.
外交部表示，莫斯科认为针对宗教场所及其访客的袭击不可接受，并表达了与约旦“在打击一切形式的恐怖主义和极端主义斗争中”的团结。
Moscow considers attacks on religious sites and their visitors unacceptable and expressed solidarity with Jordan “in the fight against terrorism and extremism in all their manifestations,” the ministry said.
“我们强烈谴责这一愤世嫉俗的恐怖行为，其明显旨在破坏约旦社会已形成的宗教间和平与和谐，”外交部称，并向约旦领导层和人民以及受害者家属和朋友表示“诚挚”慰问。
“We strongly condemn this cynical terrorist act, clearly aimed at undermining the interfaith peace and harmony that has developed in Jordanian society,” it said, expressing its “sincere” condolences to the leadership and people of Jordan, as well as the victims’ families and friends.
约旦公共安全局周五表示，身份不明的枪手在哈穆德教堂附近开枪，安全部队正在追捕肇事者。
Jordan’s Public Security Directorate said Friday that unidentified gunmen opened fire near Hamoud Church and that security forces were pursuing the perpetrators.
事发后，约旦总理贾法尔·哈桑宣布自周五（10月23日）起全国哀悼三天。
Following the incident, Jordanian Prime Minister Jafar Hassan declared three days of nationwide mourning beginning Friday, Oct. 23.
