The UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry published a report saying serious violations against civilians in Gaza continued even after October's US-brokered truce. Israel rejected the findings, calling them part of a "misinformation campaign". The UN's Independent International Commission of Inquiry on the Occupied Palestinian Territory and Israel said in a report published Monday that serious violations against Palestinian civilians, including children, continued in Gaza even after the US-brokered truce took effect in October. The commission's examination covers the period since the start of the war between Israel and Hamas.

Israel firmly rejected the commission's findings, dismissing the report as part of what it called a "misinformation campaign" and maintaining that its forces have acted in accordance with international law, describing the allegations as unfounded.

The report is likely to fuel fresh debate within the international community and UN bodies. Human rights groups called for independent verification of the findings and said the matter could be raised at the Security Council.
