North Korean leader Kim Jong Un stressed the need for "absolute superiority" in drone technology as an "indispensable option" in the face of evolving warfare, state media reported Thursday.
据官方的朝鲜中央通讯社报道，金正恩表示：“力量恰恰意味着和平，而和平只有靠力量才能得到保障。这是在当今喧嚣世界中生存所必需的常识。”
"Strength precisely means peace, and peace is guaranteed only by strength. This is a matter of common sense needed to survive in the present noisy world," Kim said, according to the state-owned Korean Central News Agency (KCNA).

He called on the country's scientists to achieve breakthroughs in unmanned aviation technology and artificial intelligence (AI) for national defense, referring to the country’s nuclear weapons capabilities and advances in conventional weapons.
金正恩进一步指出，无人航空技术的发展对于“把朝鲜人民军发展成为精通现代战争的超现代化精锐军队”具有重要意义。据报道，他表示，随着无人军事系统日益成为现代战争中的关键资产、其应用范围不断扩大，发展核心技术、将先进人工智能融入无人武器系统并提升其作战能力，必须被视为军队现代化的“最优先”事项。
Kim further pointed to the significance of the developments of unmanned aeronautical technology "in developing the DPRK's armed forces into the ultra-modern elite army well-versed in modern warfare." He reportedly said that as unmanned military systems increasingly become key assets in modern warfare and their applications continue to expand, developing core technologies, integrating advanced AI into unmanned weapons systems and enhancing their operational capabilities must be treated as a "top-priority" in modernizing the armed forces.
