Industries AG said it won’t enter negotiations with BASF SE over a takeover, even as the larger German chemicals firm pursues a €10.3 billion ($11.5 billion) deal for its rival.

The executive board “remains focused on its strategic direction and further development of Evonik as an independent company,” it said Friday.

Evonik indicated it’s still ready to hold talks, saying it would engage in a “purely informational and confidential exchange” to explain its position to BASF.
周五法兰克福早盘交易中，赢创股价上涨了0.7%。该股今年以来已上涨57%。
Evonik shares rose 0.7% in early Frankfurt trading on Friday. The stock is up 57% this year.
据彭博社报道，巴斯夫于9月接洽赢创，提出了每股22.15欧元的报价，赢创认为价格过低而予以拒绝，随后巴斯夫将报价提高至约24欧元。此后，该公司暗示如果赢创同意谈判，可能会提高报价。
BASF approached Evonik in September with an offer of €22.15 a share, which Evonik rejected as too low, before raising it to around €24, Bloomberg has reported. The firm has since signaled it may raise its offer if Evonik agreed to negotiations.

In recent weeks, BASF has stepped up its efforts, offering to honor existing job guarantees through 2032.

A combination would help preserve German jobs and create a stronger global player, BASF has said.
