Donald Trump traded barbs with protesters who repeatedly interrupted his Daytona Beach rally. The disruptions cut into his pitch for Republican candidates before crucial midterm elections.

US President Donald Trump was interrupted at least four times by protesters during a campaign rally in Daytona Beach, Florida, on Friday, with the repeated heckling disrupting his address on the crucial midterm elections. Trump lost his cool during one such interruption, turning towards a heckler and firing back, "Shut up, shut up. Dope. Shut up. Loser. What a loser. Get him out of here."

The initial interruption came as Trump was speaking about the significance of the upcoming midterm elections. As the protester disrupted his speech, the President abruptly broke away from his address to lash out at the heckler, calling him a "dope" and a "loser" before demanding that he be removed from the venue. The repeated interruptions appeared to frustrate Trump, who later complained that protesters were cutting in between his punchlines.

The interruptions continued as Trump addressed the crowd. Supporters responded by shouting, "We love you", prompting the President to make a remark about waiting for someone to express the opposite view.

"I'm waiting for a protester to say, 'We hate you!'" Trump said. A protester then shouted, "We hate you," interrupting him once again.

Trump also complained that the interruptions were coming between his punchlines. "You're going to go away saying, 'Trump's a lousy speaker'," he said, referring to the repeated disruptions.

TRUMP CAMPAIGNS FOR FLORIDA REPUBLICANS Thousands of people attended the Friday night rally at the Ocean Center Arena in Daytona Beach to support Trump ahead of Tuesday's elections.

Trump urged supporters to vote for Florida Republicans, including Byron Donalds, the party's candidate for governor, and Senator Ashley Moody.

"These are the most important midterm elections ever," he told the crowd, urging them to turn out and vote. The elections will determine which party controls Congress.

TRUMP RESCHEDULES CANCELLED IOWA, KANSAS RALLIES Earlier on Friday, Trump rescheduled his cancelled campaign rallies in Iowa and Kansas for Sunday, less than 24 hours after calling off the planned weekend visits.

His Florida rally, however, remained on schedule. The cancellations had come a day after Trump faced questions about his health and campaign schedule from a Reuters journalist.

During the exchange on Thursday, Trump told the reporter he looked "like hell" and asked him to "put yourself in shape" after the journalist questioned whether the President was feeling unwell.

Meanwhile, nearly 10 million more Americans had cast ballots five days before Election Day than at the same point in 2022, according to an Associated Press analysis of voting data.
