Lebanese Prime Minister Nawaf Salam on Friday called for efforts to secure Israel’s full withdrawal from Lebanon and strengthen state authority, amid continued Israeli attacks in the south.
“真正的出路在于调动我们能够调动的一切资源和支持，实现以色列全面撤军，并重建一个有能力且运转有效的国家……使其拥有一支军队和一个决策机构。”萨拉姆在访问南部城市纳巴提耶期间举行的新闻发布会上说。
“The real way forward is in mobilizing whatever resources and support we can to achieve a full Israeli withdrawal and rebuild a capable and effective state ... with one army and one decision-making (authority),” Salam said at a news conference during a visit to the southern city of Nabatieh.
“采取这种做法将有助于使黎巴嫩免于新的战争，并消除发动新袭击或扩大当前袭击的借口。”他说。
“Such an approach would help spare Lebanon from new wars and remove pretexts for launching a new attack or expanding the current one,” he said.
萨拉姆说，黎巴嫩目前的当务之急是停止以色列的袭击、确保以色列全面撤军、让流离失所者安全返乡、恢复生计，并振兴南部社区。他强调，黎巴嫩等不起更广泛的地区和解。
Salam said Lebanon’s immediate priorities were to stop Israeli attacks, secure Israel’s full withdrawal, allow displaced residents to safely return home, restore livelihoods and revive communities in the south. He stressed that Lebanon could not afford to wait for a broader regional settlement.
“这种和解可能到来，也可能不会到来，或者可能推迟数年；即使最终实现，也可能要以我们为代价。”他说。
“That settlement may come or may not come, or it could be delayed for years, and if it happens, it may come at our expense,” he said.
自3月2日以来，以色列对黎巴嫩发动袭击，已造成至少4386人死亡、12413人受伤，并导致逾100万人流离失所。
Since March 2, Israel has carried out attacks on Lebanon that have killed at least 4,386 people, injured 12,413 others and displaced more than 1 million.

On June 26, Beirut and Tel Aviv signed a US-sponsored “framework formula” providing for a gradual Israeli withdrawal from Lebanese territory.

Despite the agreement, Israeli attacks on Lebanon have continued, while Israel still occupies areas in the south.
