Germany’s output could grow 1% this year, according to Bundesbank President Joachim Nagel.
纳格尔周五晚在罗斯托克发表演讲时称：“从经济角度来看，目前德国的形势并不算糟糕。在经历了三年的经济停滞之后，全年经济平均增长1%是完全有可能的，这虽是个小幅增长，却是一个重要的积极信号。”不过，这一预测值低于德国多家权威经济研究机构上周给出的1.3%的增长预期。德国央行每年仅发布两次经济预测，最近一次是在6月份，当时该行预计2026年的经济增长率仅为0.5%。
“From an economic standpoint, the situation in Germany doesn’t look all that bad right now,” he said in a speech in Rostock on Friday evening. “It’s quite possible that we’ll see real economic growth of about 1% on an annual average — after three years of stagnation, that would indeed be a small but significant signal.”Nagel’s estimate is lower than the 1.3% projection Germany’s leading economic research institutes published last week. The Bundesbank only publishes forecasts twice a year, most recently in June. At the time, it predicted 2026 growth of just 0.5%.

“In the first half of 2026, the economy performed significantly better than expected just a few months ago,” he said. “It’s on the path to recovery. Given the pressures caused by the tariff antics and the Middle East conflict, this is quite remarkable.”
不过他也强调：“当前的经济复苏势头不应阻碍我们着力强化自身的结构性增长动力。”
Still, Nagel highlighted that “the current recovery shouldn’t prevent us from working purposefully to strengthen our structural growth factors.”
