土耳其收视率最高的反对派电视台之一HalkTV，在周三清晨遭警方突击搜查并中断直播后，现已由政府任命的托管人接管。
HalkTV, one of Turkey’s most-watched opposition television broadcasters, has been taken over by a government appointee after police raided its offices early Wednesday and ended its live broadcast.
据当地媒体NTV报道，伊斯坦布尔首席检察官办公室已下令拘留包括董事长贾费尔·马希罗卢在内的17名HalkTV工作人员。NTV称，实施此次搜查的警方隶属于金融犯罪调查部门。
The Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor’s Office has ordered the detention of 17 HalkTV personnel, including Chairman Cafer Mahiroglu, according to local broadcaster NTV. The police that carried out the raid are from a financial-crimes unit, NTV said.

HalkTV is among Turkey’s most-watched news channels, according to data from the independent TV Audience Research Company. Its takeover further narrows the availability of news sources critical of President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s government, following the seizures or closures in recent years of other television broadcasters as well as newspapers, YouTube channels and social media accounts.

The media takeovers have occurred in parallel to an ongoing judicial crackdown that’s snared hundreds of opposition officials on a wide range of corruption-related charges and overturned dozens of electoral victories made against Erdogan’s AK Party in recent election cycles.

Opposition figures regularly call such prosecutions cover for a political purge, whereas the Justice Ministry says that courts operate independently.

“Raid a TV station at dawn and appoint a trustee — only dictators would do such things,” opposition leader Ozgur Ozel said in a post on X on Wednesday.

“As the people demand accountability for the embezzlement of public funds, and as an economic crisis, a cost-of-living struggle and injustice continue in our country, they do this,” he added, referring to a funds scandal in which nearly half a million investors lost money. When HalkTV’s live broadcast was cut early Wednesday morning, a news segment about potential payouts to those investors appeared to abruptly switch over to the middle of a Turkish movie, according to a clip of the broadcast that Cumhuriyet newspaper shared on X. The movie, from 1973, is about an impoverished family’s attempt to find a television for their house.
