土耳其总统雷杰普·塔伊普·埃尔多安周二强调了土耳其与韩国之间的历史友谊和紧密关系。
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Tuesday highlighted the historic friendship and close ties between Türkiye and South Korea.
埃尔多安及其妻子埃米内·埃尔多安在正式访问期间，出席了韩国总统李在明在首尔总统府举办的晚宴。
Erdogan and his wife, Emine Erdogan, attended the dinner at the Presidential Palace in Seoul, hosted by South Korean President Lee Jae-myung during their official visit.
埃尔多安表示，时隔八年再次访问大韩民国感到高兴，并感谢李在明总统及其夫人的热情款待。
Expressing his pleasure at visiting the Republic of Korea again after eight years, Erdogan thanked President Lee and his wife for their warm hospitality.
他说：“我们是位于亚洲两端的两个国家，地理上相距遥远，但心灵相通。我们是命运将人们聚在一起时，距离无法阻挡的最佳例证。”
“We are two nations located at opposite ends of Asia, far apart geographically but close at heart. We are the finest example of how distance cannot stand in the way when destiny brings people together," he said.
“正如韩国谚语所说：‘衣袖相触，也是缘分。’七十六年前，命运让我们在争取这片土地独立的斗争中走到了一起，使我们成为血肉兄弟，正如你们称呼土耳其人民那样。
“As a Korean proverb says, ‘Even if the edges of your clothes barely touch, it is destiny.’ Seventy-six years ago, destiny brought us together in the struggle for this land's independence, making us blood brothers, as you call the Turkish people.
“事实上，我们是两个古老的民族，彼此接触已有一千多年。我们希望以这段共同历史为基础，将两国关系推向新的高度，为两国公民的繁荣和世界和平的建立作出贡献。”
“In fact, we are two ancient peoples who have been in contact with each other for more than a thousand years. We want to build on this shared history and take our relations towards new horizons that will contribute to the prosperity of our citizens and the establishment of peace around the world," he further said.
埃尔多安表示，他与李在明的全面会谈让他对实现这些目标充满希望。
Erdogan said his comprehensive talks with Lee had given him great hope for achieving these goals.
他感谢李在明总统及其夫人让土耳其代表团感到宾至如归，并代表土耳其8000万公民向友好盟邦的韩国人民致以最诚挚的问候。
He thanked Lee and his wife for making the Turkish delegation feel at home and conveyed his warmest greetings to the friendly and allied Korean people on behalf of Türkiye's 80 million citizens.
