Voting is underway across the country, with control of the House and the Senate — and the direction of the final two years of Donald Trump’s presidency — at stake. As a reminder, Democrats would need to gain a net of three seats to win the House and four to win the Senate. With the first polls closing soon, here are the NBC News guides and tools to have on hand to follow along with the results. Ben Kamisar and Bridget Bowman have a comprehensive guide on how to watch election night. They run through the poll closing times for each state, early bellwethers, and other key battlegrounds that will tell us which way the political winds are blowing. Stephanie Perry explains how the NBC News Exit Poll works and how the Decision Desk uses the results. Speaking of the Decision Desk, John Lapinski, Stephen Pettigrew and Marc Trussler lay out the factors that will determine when we will know which party has won the House and the Senate.
提醒一下，民主党需要净增三个席位才能赢得众议院，净增四个席位才能赢得参议院。随着首批投票站即将关闭，以下是供您追踪结果的 NBC 新闻指南和工具。
