More than 500 people were injured during Yellow Vests demonstrations across France on Saturday, Interior Minister Laurent Nunez said Monday.
努内兹在接受法国广播电视台BFMTV采访时说，伤者包括267名执法人员和250多名抗议者。
Speaking to French broadcaster BFMTV, Nunez said they include 267 law enforcement officers and over 250 protesters.
他补充说，周末全国至少有1435人因抗议生活成本上涨被拘留。
At least 1,435 people were detained nationwide over the weekend during protests against the rising cost of living, he added.

Despite the injuries and arrests, the minister said no major incidents occurred during Saturday's demonstrations. He said three people were seriously injured in the cities of Toulouse, Reims and Clermont-Ferrand.
努内兹还为法国多个城市实施的部分宵禁进行了辩护，称省长有权在存在扰乱公共秩序风险时实施限制措施。他说：“未来几天局势不会有太大变化。”
Nunez also defended partial curfews imposed in several French cities, saying prefects had the authority to introduce restrictions when there was a risk of disturbances to public order. "The situation will not change much in the coming days," he said.
他补充说，全国约10个地点的部分宵禁仍在生效，将继续由省级当局与地方市政部门协调实施。
Partial curfews remain in force in around 10 locations across the country and will continue to be implemented by prefectural authorities in coordination with local municipalities, he added.
针对周六在尼斯和蒙彼利埃发生的涉及反“黄马甲”团体的冲突，努内兹表示警方并未保护那些团体。
Addressing clashes involving groups opposed to the Yellow Vests movement in Nice and Montpellier on Saturday, Nunez said police had not protected those groups.
他还承认当局在10月17日上一波“黄马甲”示威活动中的处理存在失误。
He also acknowledged mistakes in the authorities' handling of the previous wave of Yellow Vests demonstrations on Oct. 17.

Separately, Nunez commented on an attack in Trappes, in the Yvelines department, on Friday, describing it as a racially motivated act of terrorism.

"What happened in Trappes is extremely serious. It was a racist terrorist attack," he said.
努内兹表示，行凶者企图杀害他认为不应融入法国社会的外国裔人士。
The perpetrator had sought to kill people of foreign origin whom he believed should not be integrated into French society, Nunez said.
他强调，行凶者可能患有精神分裂症不会改变该事件作为恐怖主义的定性。
He stressed that the possibility of the attacker having schizophrenia would not change the classification of the incident as terrorism.

"He was driven by hatred and racism, and that is why he killed. This is terrorism," he added.
