Sen. Mitch McConnell’s op-ed is correct in noting that President Trump has misjudged how to influence Vladimir Putin (“Coddling Putin Won’t Bring Peace to Ukraine,” Oct. 26). On the other hand, Mr. Putin seems to be a master at influencing Mr. Trump and convincing him of his interpretation of Russian and Ukrainian history.
