Yemen’s government forces said Friday that they had neutralized around 620 Houthi members and destroyed or damaged approximately 190 military vehicles and weapons systems during operations over the past 24 hours.

Military spokesman Majed Abdullah al-Nuzayli said in a statement posted on US social media company X that government forces had carried out 1,392 targeting operations as part of the ongoing “Operation Dawn of Yemen.”He said the operations coincided with ground raids, assaults, airstrikes and concentrated fire across several battlefronts.

According to al-Nuzayli, the attacks targeted Houthi troop concentrations, reinforcements, field commanders, fortifications, trenches, armored vehicles, troop carriers and heavy and medium weapons positions.

He claimed the operations disrupted the group’s command structure, supply lines and ability to move reinforcements between fronts.

In the southwestern province of Taiz, government forces carried out raids and counterattacks against Houthi positions and advanced along the Al-Aqroud front, he said.

The spokesman added that government troops had prevented Houthi members from regrouping or retaking positions they had lost, while operations continued on other fronts.

According to preliminary field assessments, approximately 620 Houthi members, including field commanders, were neutralized, he said.

He added that around 190 vehicles, armored personnel carriers, troop transports and heavy and medium weapons systems were destroyed or damaged. The figures could not be independently verified.

Al-Nuzayli said the continued deployment of Houthi reinforcements would not change the course of the fighting, stressing that government forces were monitoring the group’s movements and military capabilities.

He also reaffirmed the military’s commitment to international humanitarian law and to taking necessary precautions to protect civilians and civilian infrastructure.
