Some 1,150 people fled four villages in Sudan’s western North Darfur state over three days due to worsening insecurity, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said Sunday.
该联合国机构在一份声明中表示，其现场团队估计，10月29日至31日，乌姆巴鲁地区的穆兹巴特、奥雷里、塔里和乌姆哈拉兹四个村庄又有约1150人流离失所。
In a statement, the UN agency said its field teams estimated that an additional 1,150 people were displaced from the villages of Muzbat, Oreri, Tari and Umm Haraz in Um Baru locality between Oct. 29 and 31.
该机构表示，部分受影响家庭转移到该地区的其他地点，另一些人则越过边境进入乍得。该机构补充称，安全局势依然高度紧张和动荡。
Some affected families moved to other locations within the locality, while others crossed the border into Chad, it said. The security situation remains highly tense and volatile, the agency added.
周一，IOM报告称，10月24日，乌姆巴鲁地区三个村庄的895人已被迫流离失所。
On Monday, the IOM reported that 895 people had been displaced from three villages in Um Baru on Oct. 24.
快速支援部队（RSF）与苏丹军队自2023年4月起因将准军事组织并入军队的争议而交战。这场冲突已造成数万人死亡，1300万人流离失所。
The Rapid Support Forces (RSF) and the Sudanese army have been fighting since April 2023 following a dispute over integrating the paramilitary group into the military. The conflict has killed tens of thousands of people and displaced 13 million.

The RSF controls Sudan’s five Darfur states, apart from parts of North and West Darfur that remain under army control. The army holds most of the country’s remaining states, including the capital, Khartoum.

Darfur accounts for roughly one-fifth of Sudan’s territory, which spans more than 1.8 million square kilometers. Most of the country’s 53 million people live in army-controlled areas.
